Peter Maiden is one of the leading Latin Music concert photographers. He is located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Peter has an M.A. in Latin American Studies, with a specialization in mass communications media, from the University of California, Berkeley. He was a contributing photographer for Latin Beat Magazine from 1999 to 2005. His photos can also be seen on salsasf.com and salsaroots.com, and he is a featured artist on Timba.com. He has had shows of music photos at La Peña Cultural Center in Berkeley, San Jose's Mexican Heritage Plaza and the San Jose Repertory Theater. With writer Jesse "Chuy" Varela he produced two calendars of Salsa musicians from the Bay Area. Recently he was part of the show "The Jazz Photograph: Four Visions, 2006," a conjuncture of the San Jose Jazz Festival and the San Jose Museum of Art.
